The AI Architect's Garden: Field Notes from Production

I’m Nik Kale. I architect AI-driven platforms at enterprise scale. This site covers two connected threads. The first is what happens when AI systems meet real-world security, identity, and governance constraints, from protocol vulnerabilities in agentic ecosystems to the compliance obligations that follow autonomous systems into production. The second is what production teaches you that demos never will: the architecture decisions, failure modes, and operational patterns that separate AI theater from AI value.

The writing draws on experience shipping AI systems that serve large user populations, contributing to security and AI standards efforts, and evaluating hundreds of enterprise technology implementations as a judge and reviewer across industry and research programs.
